I have just completed my RCT3 Manta suspended flying coaster. It took me 4 days to build and construct, and 1 day of recording and editing. I used alot of CSP's to give it a more realistic design, look and feel. I completed two videos, Part 1 and 2. Originally I was editing together an 7 minute video, but I was having problems with Windows Movie Maker, but I corrected the issue, so I discovered some footage had an error on them, so I had to remove that footage, and deleted it. I had to reconstruct each video a second time, but I wrote down the original timeline for each video using the video number filename.
I was doing this all day, recording, editing, and making sure the videos work. Part 1 is 5:33 min. and is 78.9MB, and Part 2 is 4:00 min. and is 56.3MB. I would of loved for it to be one seamless video, but my computer and Windows Movie Maker, just wouldn't save it as a .WMV file movie, so I had to make two seperate videos, and I am perfectly okay with that. I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to save the videos, especailly because I have the original RCT3 Audio in the videos with music blended in. I thought the audio, which I recorded with my digital camera, was the issue, since video was supplied as well, but not used in the original editing. The audio and music is in the sound soundtrack slot, so I had to merge both together in some areas, it worked, but to getting it right on cue, wasn't easy, so it may not be exactly on cue. In fact, the audio recorded slower than the playback of the recorded video of the coaster on the track, so you might hear peeps screaming before the first drop, but even though I edited that, it's the best I can do with how it's placed. You may not even notice it, because music is playing in the background.
In the videos, I recorded various POV perspectives. First the front seat POV, second sideviews of peeps, front facing POV of them, and blended all that together with shots of the coaster in various parts edited together close-ups to distance shots. You'll find shots of the whole area surrounding the ride as well, below and above, and peeps roaming the grounds all over the place. Part 2 has a POV from the backend of the trains, where you see the peeps feet, and more footage of the coaster, landscaping, and peeps enjoying this new section of the park, with a Starbucks, Food Court and Giftshop, rest/Smoking Area, and of course Restrooms.
I hope you enjoy this video, and be sure to watch part 2 as well, which contains additional footage, POV backend. Each video contains music and actual recorded audio from my RCT3 Manta, all edited together in some shots to make it look and feel real.
The music in Part 1 is "Machinehead" by Bush
The music in Part 2 is "The Kill" by 30 Seconds to Mars
I just remembered that my youtube address in the videos is wrong. I was in a hurry to get these done, I typed my name in the address, thinking I was typing my myspace address. Ignore that.
UPDATE: 10/4/09 : This video has an ERROR, and doesn't play the full video anymore. I may have to re-upload it. Part 1 is very cool, but in the meantime watch Part 2 and Part 3.

Enjoy.

I do hope everybody does understand that a coaster like this recreation or copycat of Manta, wasn't easy to do, nor was my Terminator: Salvation videos. I haven't seen one yet that blows mine away. Keep sending me your Manta and Terminator coasters, because I have seen copycats of my copycat of Manta. Later. Thanks Again.

At this time, I am no longer playing RCT3, or creating anymore videos. You can say I have lost interest for now. It's an addicting game and fun, but I do have otehr priorties to deal with in my life, than games.

@koolkillax
Thanks Koolkillax for that. Yes, it was hard to do, and to be honest, my initial goal was to create something like Manta, a sort of copycat coaster, at another park. It isn't accurate, due to the limitations, but just look at all that detail, work I put into it. It is the design, landscaping, scenery, all everything around it, that counts, and the coaster itself.

@theclauss95
Are you referring to the loop? If you are, you got to be kidding me with your comment, with WTF! That loop may not be exactly accurate, but personally, I think it works, and the layout works, the design, the execution of the video, editing, music, everything. This is by far the best thing I built next to my Terminator: Salvation - The Ride videos, so if you think you can do better. I'll be waiting. That is your opinion, and everybody has their say. Later. -Tim

Like I have said before in my comments, it's not an exact replica, however I do have the track going in and out of the loop, and that is something on the real coaster, so I should get credit for that effort. You can say this coaster is a copy clone at a different amusement park, but the designers changed it up a notch with the loop, adding twists. I have never seen a coaster with twists in a loop, so this is a first. Thanks for your comment. -Tim
