Hello i have the same problem but no with the sound, its just randomly restarts or freezes everything... what do i do!!! :s i have a very importand work on it and im stressed and confused :s

they replaced MLB after all. Before that I have clean installed 6 times. applied update every time, swap memory with 2 different brands.

Yes, after the 3rd attempt it was finally fixed by Apple this week.

yes, for most of the people it happens when both slots are filled with 2G.

Me too! Same problem, same noise. I have been told it could be a logic board problem. No upgrades or anything, started doing it right out of the box. Overheats too!

Yes, it seems (some of, not all) AppleCare professional understand that it is related to main logic board. If yours is one of the early production, this may be the case. Go Genius bar and ask for repair.

At the first repair Apple replaced a graphic board, and then this noise stopped but system freezes anyway...
