I have to clarify what Griffin said, "We had no debt when Clinton was in office."
This is wrong. What she should have said was, we had a surplus when Clinton was in office. This means the govt collected more taxes then was spent. When Clinton took office the US was in debt $4.5 trillion, when he left office we were in debt $5.5 trillion. Thus, overall he wasn't able to sustain the surplus throughout his entire term. Bush 2 took it up to $10 trillion & Obama carried the torch to $15 trillion.

@lovejen01 Dont even say Clinton had anything to do with the economy going to shit. All I know is, when clinton was president, I lived in a $400,000 making roughly 100k a year. 3 years in when Bush was president, I was laid off and couldn't find another job because they were all taken from our country I am now living in a 2 bed apartment and making 45k a year doing fuel quality control. So you can take your "political knowledge", and cramp it up your ass!

@lovejen01 Bush tax cuts have been in place for a decade...the worst financial decade in the history of the US. Bush left Obama the biggest financial mess since the Depression. Cuts alone dont work. US needs revenue. No economic expert believes cuts alone will work, because THEY HAVENT WORKED. Your simplistic view of the situation is factually wrong. How many more years do you need to see that they didnt work, didnt create jobs? Compromise is needed, and the Reps wont. Sad.
