  • Al that talk of torture, and Lilly didn't mention Irenicus even once.

Daelan might have just earned himself a death sentence by not attacking that mage...

Lilly says: I don't like pain, it hurts me!

I'm no advocate of censorship, but I'd rather include erotic stuff than torture.

  • @RealArcalian Good point. But that was more torturous experiments, not torture as punishment in itself. Heh. That other book has stuff like STDs--it's not all idyllic eroticism. ;)

  • Thanks for all of that information; dark as it was, it remained interesting nonetheless. I especially enjoyed hearing about the in-game effects of opposing alignments reading the books of Vile Darkness and Exalted Deeds.

As always, thank you for the great video-uploads.

  • @NS13Guardian Sure. And yeah, those tomes are the kind I would have expected to see maybe in the first Baldur's Gate--it certainly would have been neat to see at least! You're welcome, and thanks, Guardian.

  • Yet another great set. Using your new microphone, or am I hearing things?

The inclusion of torture into a campaign is really dependent upon the maturity level of the group. Even adult players can have their responses shaped by its inclusion in a campaign. I've used it successfully just as you said it might. A minor antagonist was much more hated by the players simply because he employed torture. They were really focused on shutting him down because of it. More so than the primary baddy!

  • @CyberViking27 Thanks, 'Viking. Nah--I haven't even recorded anything yet with the new microphone! :P I'm glad to hear your experience with torture in game was positive; it's almost funny that he trumped your arch-villain! Like you say, I think it really comes down to the group dynamic.

  • @mynameisnotlilly Hmm, an interesting dilemma indeed von Tordy *_+

  • @MrSentia Heh. It sounds good, though, the problem here, is that my character *is* evil. :P

  • @10:45-11:15 Indeed Tordy, indeed.

  • Another 1st like + 1st comment, too much! :P
