This IS-F was on the dyno being tested for horsepower, when on the third round (that I saw) the clutch went out (or something mechanical went wrong). The passenger of the car ran out and checked the back, as smoke poured out. It was hard to see exactly what happened, but you can hear the clutch (if it was one) going out at the end. Great car, it was unbelievably loud down there.

  • It was the tires, there is rubber behind them plain as day.

  • Also...

That sound it made at the end was from the tire rubbing on the metal part of the dyno.

    The car is too powerful.

  • its def not a clutch but how can he rub his tires on the dyno frame ? huh ? guys what was that

  • It was the tires. Too much power resulted in the wheels spinning faster then the dnyo. The tries cause the smoke from spinning on the dyno.

    Duh.

  • Yea seemed to me like it spun through first and second and into third and then he let off and the tires caught the rollers, making a wierd sound.

  • It's a Double clutch transmission so it has to clutches

  • I can tell you from experience and inside knowledge from Lexus that it was not the Transmission or the engine. There has only been one engine failure in the IS-F in the whole country.

  • There is no clutch...

  • This guy is a stupid fool. You don't have to power up that hard.

  • Yeah that was tire smoke. the rumbling was the front of the back tires rubbing against the metal part of the dyno.

  • caddyman..I watched it two times. It was tire smoke.

Don`t you have enough to worry about at your Cadillac dealership...like trying to stay in business or something?
