still can't figure out how to use carrara or hexagon, I'm such a noob, I use google sketchup it is easy and noob friendly, found this trick online, export model as kmz, rename the file extension as zip ignore warning extract it to get collada dae model and materials, import into daz, open surfaces tab, turn up opacity on all the meshes as otherwise it is invisible. Can make sets, use most 3d warehouse models etc. Hope this helps someone else, it is just such a cool find for modeling klutz me.
then what happens when you wish to export the same again to a 3d game engine like 3d game studio?
or if i wish to import from truespace 7.5 to daz 3d studio 3 core.
i see that carrara cant handle this yet or it supposedly can in 7.2 do you have video of that importing truespace collada file into carrara and then exporting it too?
can you do a video and see if you can open
a collada from daz to blender 3d with a character
