A funny, touching and heartfelt examination of family, friends and the effects of fame by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, Donald Margulies.

Eric Weiss (Brandon Burke) has been trying to leave behind his Jewish background for most of his life. Moving from his home borough of Brooklyn to attend an Ivy League College he has never looked back. A critically acclaimed, but financially unsuccessful author, his semi-autobiographical novel, Brooklyn Boy, has finally propelled him on to the New York Times bestseller list and into literary stardom. Now hes dealing with book signings, a movie producer who wants him to downplay the Jewish content of his screenplay, a young fan in his hotel room who thinks that fiction is like so over, an estranged-wife who isnt interested in reconciliation, an old friend who wants to help him reconnect with his past and a father who cant quite acknowledge his sons success. Eric finally realises he must find a way to reconcile where he has come from with the person he has become.
