Jerry West is the man dribbling in the NBA's logo. Now there's a sculpture of West dribbling outside WVU's coliseum.
The sculpture is the work of Morgantown artist Jamie Lester.
In this story, Lester reveals his thoughts as he sculpted a national legend. It first aired on the program "Outlook" March 29, 2007, on West Virginia PBS. It was produced by Pat Sergent and Jeremy Kleine.
Why is the Jerry West statute dark bronze? Shouldn't it be a whiteish silver?

JERRY! Nice work man. Wonderful sense of equilibrium in motion, and economy of anatomical detail.
