Creating my own vortex in the morning! Feeling rather good today, finally, so after a much needed stop over at Starbucks, Chibi and I set off to visit Utrecht and were pleasantly surprised with awesome weather! As usual on these walks, we enjoyed quite some scenery, facades, sights to see and recorded them for you to enjoy as well. The weather was actually good enough to sit outside on a terrace to enjoy! If you happen to be around, do try Charlie Chiu's Dim Sum on-a-stick available from the snack counter windows at Hoog Catherijne mall as they are plain awesome!! After spending most of the afternoon in Utrecht it was time to take a train back to Amsterdam and - as I felt like catching up some after these past couple of weeks - headed downtown to meet up with Makochan200 at Coffee Company Dam Square. Unfortunately Makochan was a bit camera-shy today, but the nice folks from Texas we met on the terrace were up to an appearance on the video, much to Chibi's enjoyment! To close the day, Makochan200 and I went to Döner Plaza to have dinner.

Nice to see you feeling better. Thanks for a really intersting vlog - good to see Utrecht too. I spent last weekend in Amsterdam - its was a great couple of days. I love the city :) And your trains are excellent.

And another tip, for a snack somewhere inbetween; try a 'Broodje Mario' from the stand at the beginning of the Oudegracht, on the Lange Viestraat side. Something typical for Utrecht ;)

If you find yourself in Utrecht again sometime, try having pizza at the Oudegracht, near the Hema. Very good italian restaurant they got there and good pizza's! Downside to that (well, I reckon for you it is) is that you need to use the stairs to go down- and, lateron, upstairs, as the restaurant is beneath the street, at about the same level as the Oudegracht's water is.
