...CO2 is a trace gas...the truth is that CO2 has never driven climate change, as a matter of fact, increases in CO2 comes about after a warming trend ...mainly as a a result of Solar activity.

Since people are talking 3rd grade(?) maybe it should be explained this way. A boat floating on the water has a small amount of water in it.- just enough to keep it afloat - when you put more water into the boat to the point at which it sinks deep enough to let more water in - you gotta bail like hell before it sinks totally and you drown. In other words - you better reduce the CO2 or plant a hell of a lot of trees FAST !

When are people going to see the point ? YES Carbon Dioxide is a natural component - it has nothing to do with WHAT it is but the BALANCE. Does it make any sense that the world has built a careful balance during the last 100 million years without a single human being around ? Yes ? good ? Now we have almost 9 BILLION many of whom churn out extra quantaties of CO2 that were NOT there before while at the same time we have been reducing the very trees that convert it - ergo - out of BALANCE !

it's not a personal matter. Maybe she's a great neighbor. She took a position of authority because people voted for her based on what she said... and she took that power and used it inappropriately. I hold her accountable for her actions.

Hanagro, and at the very least, God holds you accountable for yours. I like her. You are a liberal, and don't. I guess we are both resolved.

Like what you will. She's not a bad person.

But there is a disconnect between what she wants, and what means she believes will accomplish it because she has not taken into account a few factors due to her own biases and fears.

I am not at odds with God. I am not afraid of taking into consideration anybody's ideas. And I do not belong to "the other" that you lump all perspectives into that are not your own. I am not a liberal or an athiest, nor do I find any resolve in polarized simplification

That's fine. And I'm well aware of the origins of public education. And I disagree with our education system as a whole and the pedagogy geared towards obedient and efficient members of society.

I also disagree with lying. Take a poll of her hometown and see how many people voted for her further involvement in government. The fact is, she is dishonest, and didn't consider the fact that not everybody has the luxury of homeschooling their children.

She just didn't want to contribute.

Did you sane people ever think there would come a day when we would have to tell the Congress of the USA that carbon dioxide is a natural helpful component of nature?

I learned this in the third grade!
