@WiryOak Nope VW is does not owned them. VWAG owns them, which also owns VW. And yes they get a say, but AG designs and manufactures models within all brands. It is not that they share profits,
AG "distributes" (I use this very loosely)...actually, I guess you can say that. It is very complicated, but look it up, type "Aktiengesellschaft" in Google. Each company operates as an independent entity "ON THE MARKET."

@Exoime 100% wrong. Actually 90% wrong.
1st. Buggati is owned by Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, or "AG". They owned all those manufactures whose profits and stake is shared by it's partner company Porsche, at a 30ish% level or so. I believe you are confusing VW with VW AG. Not the same. AG controls models, concepts, press, manufacture and everything else within a network of a few hundred companies. I can explain in greater depth if you want? PM if you like.

You will read "By 1966, Auto Union (Audi's first name) had become a wholly owned VW subsidiary",, as well as if you go directly to Bugatti's website it reads, "Bugattie Automobile... was founded as a VW France subsidiary".. key work "Subsidiary".. Then if you do some fucking research, you will learn that.....
