...... I'm born with two citizenship, French and Canadian. I have never been to France but I'm a french ... and a canadian ! And I never applied to anything. It depends how close the parent is to you.

hmm i havn't had a french or irish citizenship seeing thats were my family comes from?. beccause thats not how it works, u have to APPLY to get that citizenship, u dn't just recieve it. born in canada, canadian. want to apply to get another ciztizenship all the power to ya.

Yes you will be Canadian if you are born on Canada territory, but it doesn't remove your other origin and where you family comes from. It is possible to have more than one citizenship on the law side. Anyway ... Go Kostitsyn Go !

There is a difference between a typical Canadian/Quebecer and Cammalleri. The parents of the typical Canadian/Quebecer were born in Canada as did the parent of their parent and so on since the colonisation of Canada.

On the other side, the parents of Cammalleri are directly Italian/Jewish so he has a strong connection to his origin compared to the typical Canadian. So he has more right say that he's Italian than the Canadian to say that he's French/British.

It doesn't matter where your parents are from it matters where you were born. He was born in Canada therefore he is Canadian. Show some national pride. Otherwise all Quebecers may as well say they are from France and English Canadians may as well say they're British. But they don't say that. If we are all Quebecers then Cammallerri is Canadian.
