Why Atheist Activism? Here's Why.

I have been asked many times why I'm an Atheist activist. Here's why: Plenty of people right here in America need someone to advocate for their right to be free from reigion. When I was a Christian, I needed that, and there was no one. So I'm trying to help people who don't believe in gods, and don't want to take part in religion anymore. It's not just about state/church separation, there are a whole lot more areas of life that religion influences, and this is just one. Besides, Atheist activism is fun! :o)

@poopyloopster Actually athiest play roles behind the scenes to make sure creationism isnt taught in schools and isnt accepted as science fact. Also that the other lies arent accepted as truths, like adam and eve, noahs ark, and other rediculous claims.

Any time we can eliminate superstition by replacing it with rational, scientific understanding, it makes it all worthwhile. Mankind has always suffered from ignorance, and the self-imposed ignorance is the worst kind. Look how the church has held back progress, not to mention the waste of human life.

@poopyloopster here is why: Every person that attends and donates to a church may not be evil but weather they know it not, they are supporting the Christian faith. To support the Christian, Catholic, Lutheran or WHATEVER THE FUCK SPLINTER GROUP- church is to support and encourage the radicals, missionaries and the dreaded Vatican and all the money they spend on defense attorneys (because the churches don't want to support a priest's whole family). RELIGION IS A POISON AND MUST BE VANQUISHED

We are fighting against ignorance, superstition, and the overall harm that religion causes. Do you really not think those things exist??
