Christian New Year Resolutions Part 1

This is a reading of the puritan, Mr. Jonathan Edwards' "Resolutions." Mr. Edwards began writing them shortly before entering the ministry when he was about 19 years of age. He writes them to pointedly convict himself of sin and to supply exhortation to himself for the reformation of his convictions. He is committed to the transformation of every area of his life and we see in his list of resolutions a fervent and committed desire to conform to the image of Christ.
His aim is holiness, his pursuit is an all out picking and dissecting even the smallest things that may appear as nothing but he seeks to plan security and solidity in the stewardship of his mind and body.

I highly recommend the Unwavering Resolve of Jonathan Edwards, it is an excellent book.

I like Murray's writing style in all his biographies.

I haven't read the Unwavering Thoughts though. Would you know if it compares?

This is the one by Dr. Steven J. Lawson "The Unwavering Resolve of Jonathan Edwards."

From a little research in google I found that Lawson's book seems to apply the resolutions in modern day life. It looks like a good one.
