Embodiment of Scarlet Devil - ReimuB, Stage 4 Normal

"You there, red-white!"

Stage 4 is looooooooong. There are parts of it that just get retarded at times, like the clusterfuck of green bullets with the books.
I'm actually pretty proud of this part of the run. I had to bomb twice during the stage, yes, because I was stupid and trapped myself. However, it's the boss part I'm really happy about.

Stage Theme - Voile, the Magic Library (You-Ing Factory)
Boss Theme - Brand New WORLD (SOUND HOLIC)

Midboss - Koakuma (小悪魔)
Not much to say about Koa...I love her and she's probably my favorite character in the series, but I don't exactly know /why/. D:

Stage Boss - Patchouli Knowledge (パチュリー・ノーレッジ)
Patchouli, being a Stage 4 boss, changes her attacks depending on your character. She has different spellcards for all four shot types, the hardest of which are reserved for ReimuB. Fun.

Water Sign [Princess Undine]
水符「プリンセスウンディネ」
I'm not going to lie, this capture was partially luck. There was a point where I forgot I had no bombs, and I unfocused, thinking I had used one. Turns out, nope, no bombs. I got lucky and a bullet passed right past much, brushing up against the hitbox. Then I realized I had no bombs and started panicking, but managed to survive anyway.

Wood Sign [Sylphae Horn High Level]

Fraps lagged like HELL on this spellcard. D:
This is another one of those random cards that fill me with sadness. The bullets all fall to the corner, with the intent of slowly forcing you into the corner as well. You have to dodge bullets, stay under Patchy to hit her, and fight against the stream all at once. It's really hard to do, at least for me. ):

Water and Wood Sign [Water Elf]
水＆木符「ウォーターエルフ」
This is another one of those weird cards where you're not totally sure if there's a pattern or not. Either way, I can't stay focused for all of this, the bullets just move too damn fast.

Metal and Water Sign [Mercury Poisoning]
金＆水符「マーキュリポイズン」
The spellcard name makes me laugh. :D
This card is deceptive. It seems really easy, but it's easy to get trapped at the bottom with nowhere to run. You have to dodge horizontally as well as keep a constant upper movement to not get dragged down to the bottom, almost like Patchy's trying to drown you under a sea of bullets...

Amazingly, I managed to go the whole battle with Patchy without getting hit, and with no bombs. First time that's ever happened to me. :D

why do the books shoot at you? sure there magic but there books!

I've recently gotten the good ending with Reimu A and I'm now trying with Reimu B. These tough spellcards are basically what have kept me from succeeding today :)
