The 3DS version looks absolutely stunning.
However the N64 version is a classic, and will always have a special place in my heart.. container.

when i first saw the videos of 3ds, i just assumed they ported the whole game without alteration. my memories of hyrule are like they appear in the 3ds version- i think regardless of how it looked in the original version that my mind just turned it into this incredibly vivid world and that's no matter how much they upgraded it, it will still be visually stunning like the real world. it was as real to me then as it is now.

I personally prefered the lonley and darker original Ocarina of Time, but the 3ds is still a major improvement in graphics.

I have both versions, I have no preference, both are awesome, yeah, 3DS version has higher quality, better designed characters etc.
but the 64 version is the story that became a legend

Hmm...I like the original Epona better. She has a prettier face...more character somehow. I also like N64 Link better, both his child and adult forms. The new opening is a bit too...bright. If the grass was darker it'd look a bit better I think, but even then, it couldn't top the original. Overall, I much prefer the look of the N64, it just fits...looks more right you know, especially since it's its first and true form.

It would be nice if Nintendo had made an option to play the original Ocarina of Time.
Is it me or does the 3ds version look foggy?

@joshuasonicfan You are correct. When they revamped the field, they were able to take advantage of the 3DS's greater computing power to include more effects such as draw distance and fog.

which one's sound did you use?

@Narutofan1000k I used the sound from the 3DS version as the quality is slightly higher
