Brno (aka. Brünn in the monarchy days), is situated in the Czech Republic, so is the factory this pistol was made. Czech weapon industry was always fairly competitive, they made excellent value pellet guns/ rifles. I still have mine (Slavia 631), they are made to last, unlike the Chinese cr@ap that's flooding the low end of the market today :(
