@1ambrose100 The last gasp of music was done in by the Beatles.

I think, when an artist covers a song, it's just a tribute to the original and he doesn't want to make it better or earn money without composing something new. (if it's a "real" musician who sings/plays because it's fun to him)

The original John Wayne classic married with this masterpiece by Glen - a truly incredible combination! I was glad to hear there was a remake, which would keep the memory of the original movie alive, but they should have again used Glen's theme song for the remake. This is one of the greatest musical classics of all time. Lovely memories of 1969, a time when Country crossed over into Pop. Get well, Glen. Our prayers are with you.

They just did a remake of the movie True Grit. This song is based on the original 1969 movie True Grit with John Wayne.

Last great gasp of the Western genre, they say was done in by the arrival of the Beatles in '64.

I always loved this song and have associated with it with the movie True Grit. I too would love to know if it is all possible to get this in a CD format. Thank you, Kathleen
Thank you, Glen Campbell for giving such a wonderful sound performance with this song from "True Grit"!

Glen Campbell has such a warm beautiful voice. He is also the hottest singer ever.
Nothing beats the original. I do not understand why they do remakes even in music.
