These our salvaged beams form an old Apartment Building built in Times Square NYC circa 1905. Croft House uses takes these recycled wood beams and makes them into modern beds, tables, coffee tables, consoles, benches, desks, sofas, bookcases, bookshelves, and cabinets. These beams (as you can see) are very rustic and heavy! They need to be cut down to size before we can start to make tables out of them, so we use this 11' long resaw to get the job done. This saw (instead of a planer) allows us to use the thin layers on the interior of the wood. By doing this, we can make even more sustainable, green, eco-friendly furniture. Remember to always buy "good" for the environment furniture! Buy locally (we use carbon offsets when we ship - so its still great!) Visit http://www.crofthouse.com
