Jumping is part of the licensing requirement, even for dressage stallions! Lynne Crowden introduces us to two of her outstanding three year old stallions at the Woodlander Stud, Santana and Fleetwood Mac, who were licensed around a year ago. But first, they are let loose to stretch and play. Santana has some jumping blood and shows natural techniqe over a fence as well as scope, Mac has plenty of scope but less technique. Lynne explains how to set up a simple grid, whilst bereiter Carsten Sandrock handles the stallions. Both are keen so Lynne makes adjustments to steady the pace and improve the rhythm through the grid.
