Yeah, but if you use a normal Full Plate in the first few levels, your climb, jump and especially swim are normally useless if you're unwilling to leave it behind... my current fighter wears light armor ;)

Heavy Armor ftw, just make it Mithril if you need Dex. Besides, by the time you got a +3 Full plate you'll already have a climb, jump and swim that is sky high..
