It's only a replica. So it's not a big deal. Even the Stanley Cup is technically just a copy of the original.

The stanley cup may be a replica, but its the one that is presented to the champion of the NHL, live. Having Niedermayer, Jagr, Lemieux, Hull and all the other greats lift the "replica" doesnt change the fact that they are the ones that lifted it. I'd rather see the replica that's been lifted by so many than one that sits behind glass.

No, they are presented the actual Stanley cup. Yes it is a recreation of the one made way back when, but the original version of that trophy is handed to the players when they win it.
