1st Poetry Reading

This is a poem that I wrote after doing a poetry reading. Seems to pertain to you tube as well! Enjoy! Ill add the words when I have more time.

Ah, yes. Nothing like that moment of 'inspirational reflection' after an unsatisfactory presentation or performance, when you're sure your emotions conveyed something stongly, but what? Been there, done that.

Yes! It is a weird feeling upon reflection! I was always surprised at the reactions I would get afterwards....they would touch someone deeply.....and for some reason that surprised me! LOL Love you! Di:)

I'm willing to bet you conveyed your thoughts and feelings as you wanted, but just didn't realize it. This video shows a peace and serenity in you when you reflect on your past experience, a lovely demeanor, so why not then, eh? Much love to you, lady.

Perhaps you just need time to grow into the performance part of the art of poetry.  That and writing are two separate, even if complimentary talents. In the end, I think the words matter more than the delivery. They last longer. Perhaps you were just caught in an unprepared state. Hopefully it is one of those things that come with practice. Looking back on what I have posted here so far, I will not say that I am pleased with my own delivery, either. Something else to work on, to grow into.
