@CutieInTheAltima i agree best to start out with a flirt pole, great drive builder aslong as stamina and bite. My girl is just starting to hang at 5 months, idk if their baby teeth can handle that or not. This works a totally diffrent part of the dog mentally and physically than a walk/run does. Getting your dog out for a walk is more for them to smell/see new things, obv getting some physical work done too. It's in their genes to wanna bite and hang or pull weight, so it gives them a job.
@pecorino69 Yes, Walking can do a lot of that BUT a lot of pit bull owners like the spring pole because 1.its stationary and also works the jaw, neck,& chest muscles. You can also look into a flirt pole which isn't stationary and might suit you better if your dogs are just starting out.Mine is using a flirt pole right now at 4 months old.
@CutieInTheAltima shouldnt the walk do all that? I mean my pits and me run 5-7 miles a day and they are in awesome physical and mental shape(I have 3 Pits one rescued one was given to me by a guy rotating back to the states the other is mine from a breeder here in japan. but it looks cool when they hang on like that so i was just askin...
@pecorino69 It works the dogs muscles and gives them a job. Pit bulls are a gamey breed which means they need a job whether it be spring pole or weight pulling, ect. & its also a great work out for the dog. Note the fact that he is in amazing physical and mental shape.
This is a very impressive dog with amazing training. Its nice to see a true pit instead of the bully SHIT people like to say are pits, He is perfect. You should check out my male O'Malley in my videos. He is just a baby but is already lookin like a show stopper.
i love your dog, how do you get him to listen to you so easily lol?
