@mildrew38 Yea, maybe, but, still, the old F1 cars were pure rude metal, I`m talking about the 1000+ hp beasts at about 1990. The cars were getting more and more powerful. Of course, it was more interesting to watch F1 back then, but not so interesting to see a driver die, so more technology = more safety. And, by the way, thank you, sir, I didn`t know about a thing called Formula Ford.

@KarlisKristaps Formula Ford has no wings and narrow tyres so if F1 cars were like that then the drivers would make the difference,less downforce and grip = good racing and good viewing

@mildrew38 What would be the definition of "proper racing"? All cars, no matter how advanced or unadvanced run on +/- the best technology of that time. After 20 years, we will be dreaming about the cars that are driven today and we will say, that this was real motorsport.
