Sometimes a regular Butter or Lard pie dough recipe just doesn't cut it. You want something a little more dense, and bit sweet.

Ingredients:

9 tbsp unsalted butter at room temp
1/2 cup fruit sugar (super-fine)
1 large egg
13/4 cup all purpose flour

Method:

Place butter and sugar in food processor.
Pulse just until combined.
Add egg and pulse again to combine, scrape down sides if necessary.
Add flour, and process just until dough starts to come together in a ball.
Turn out on floured surface, and work into a round. Don't overwork, or work in too much flour.

Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before rolling out.

  • SOME sugar, SOME butter, SOME flour, the recipe is useless without the measurements!! This video only wastes the viewer's time without them.

  • @funkaliciously Interesting that you found this so useless.

The full recipe is in the description area below the video - in addition there is a link that takes you to a downloadable PDF of the recipe.

During the video there are also numerous references to where the full recipe and others like it can be found on the legourmet.tv website.

Now that I've pointed this out to you perhaps you can enjoy making this recipe.

  • the text over the video makes it not worth watching. im stopping at 30 sec!

  • @madge555 What text? There is the title which is up for 9 seconds... Could you be referring to an overlay add that Youtube puts up and I have no control over?

  • @madge555 If it is the overlay ad that bothers you... Did you know that if you click the little 'X' in the corner of the ad it goes away.

  • @legourmettv When coming into youtube via YOUR link from your response, I do now see the ingredients list etc. But, when browsing through recipes and coming across this the first time the only thing in the drop down was a small list of "key" words from my search....sweet, dough, pastry, etc. I'm liking youtube less and less these days as this is not the only time such a mistake has occurred on their part. Thank you for responding. Others have had troubles too. Shame on youtube!!

  • @madge555 What are you talking about? I don't see any text, vid looks great to me.

  • @legourmettv it is not the overlay ad, I dont even get one. It's weird and it does not happen on any other videos. Maybe you should try watching it from an account that's not your own so you can possibly see what I'm talking about!

  • @madge555 It most def is not the ad! there is'nt even one to X out! there is some weird gibberish that plays over the video. Can u not see it?
