I've used Tidy cats and Fresh Step brand clumping litters just fine in this box. Keeps the litter going twice as long as it did when I was scooping. It's nice for 1-2 cats, but if you have multiple cats, it's expensive to buy one of these for every cat.

@AoBfrost Excellent review. I was in email contact with the inventor of Roll'N clean a few weeks ago and all I can say is BUY MORE of his products. Great guy. That being said....it can get rather pricey if you buy one for each cat. Thanx for the Tidy Cat and Fresh Step product suggestions. Cats love a clean area and the more products and suggestions the better.

It clumps with good litter....and the clumps are in the pull-out part. The best clumping litter that has been recommended so far has been "Worlds Best Cat Litter' though get one that suits your budget best.

@CutePetGazette ~ I find the Arm-N-Hammer Essentials corn-based litter works great. It is much finer than clay litter,completely coating the poo, and keeping it from sticking to the sifter.

this cat box works nicely, but my cat doesnt put her rear in the box entirely, if she would turn around then this would be fine for her, but she doesnt and she pees outside the box. so i went back to the regular box. i use this box with the worlds best litter and it is fantastic, i love the worlds best litter.
