Panis angelicus
fit panis hominum;
Dat panis caelicus
figuris terminum:
O res mirabilis!
manducat Dominum
Pauper, servus, et humilis
Le pain des anges
Devient le pain des hommes.
Le pain du ciel met
Un terme aux symboles.
Ô chose admirable!
Il mange son Seigneur
Le pauvre, le serviteur, le petit.
The angelic bread
becomes the bread of men;
The heavenly bread
ends all prefigurations:
What wonder!
consumes the Lord
a poor and humble servant.
its so weird seeing me uploaded by some french dude.. LOL

Imagine how many thousands of choirs, vocal soloists, instrumentalists all over the world have had the joy of performing this piece generation after generation! I wonder if Franck had any idea that his piece would continue to inspire people forever.
