@ShmoofingFabsee Haha yeah, I did also think he had only been playing 4 days when they got him , but I just kept lurking through fansites and shit for about a month and found out a lot, haha.

@JinxDelta that makes a lot more sense than my stupid comment. as a bit of a guitarist-gone-bassist myself i would've thought it unreal to have started anew on bass and done that much in 4 days. xD

Ryan Sinn is playing in a band called Stephen Rey and the Slicks, they just brought out a video. It's pretty good stuff, if you're into that kind of thing.

After mucho research. He had actually been playing bass for a while beforehand, not 4 days- He'd been playing in local bands as bassist, then Andy Granelli(the drummer) asked Sinn to join, and he had 4 days to learn as many songs as possible because their practice was in 4 days. I knew his playing on SSDH was far beyond someone who'd been playing 4 days lmao

looks like so much fucking fun!!

@ShmoofingFabsee I know haha but you gotta admit he does some awesome little riffs especially in Sing Sing death house('my sin stabs' and 'watch my sun burn out' he does awesome little bits during those) I know it's just little riffs but it makes a big effect haha

@JinxDelta "Sinn joined The Distillers after their first album had been made. At the time he only played guitar, but the group was so desperate for a bassist that he learned to play the instrument in four days" - now that's beastly.
