21 January. Building on his series of video journals prior to the election, this is Prime Minister John Key's first video journal in 2009. In it, John welcomes viewers back and talks about the inauguration of President Obama in the US, the economy in NZ, plans for legislative action in the coming months, social media channels, his broken arm, and more.

  • SELLOUT

    - Google 'Max Keiser' it follows the neo-right-wing philosophy.

  • ps - i voted national . the betrayal stings all the more.

Do not break your word and lower yourselves to the level of those we voted out for that same reason!

and do not insult us by using the economic recession as an excuse to become two faced liars.

circumstances do not excuse wrongs .

  • hey Mr.Key!! proud to have u as our P.M!!! your laid back, dont lay on the make up thick...lol..your a tru kiwi!!! kia ora..

  • Good to have you as PM Kev.

(I'm from Titahi Bay, near Porirua - but living in Victoria, B.C. - just across the water).

Attended Ngati Toa School, lived on Pikarere Street.

Now, let's check on those All Blacks ...

  • Racist but true. No one owns that land, but I suppose now they'll have to stfu and go away. His policys are slowly but surely changing things for the better, so for now its best to wait and see

  • You are very lucky over there in New Zealand to have John Key as your PM. Here in Australia, we have an idiot called Kevin Rudd as our PM.

  • Awesome to see your posts up here. It feels great to be able to hear what you have got to say without the journalists cutting and editing. This is a great idea to maintain support for National as it makes you feel more real and tangible. It feels like you are keeping in touch with the everyday voter/New Zealander and that is so important to us.

Thanks for taking the time to do this.

Good luck with the arm ;-)

  • good to see you again

  • I enjoyed your 1st video for '09. It is comforting to have a strong and sensible leader in the current economic climate. I am sure NZ will "weather the storm" and come out the other side with minimal damage. We are a can do nation and in times of adversity we all need to knuckle down and do what is required to get through. Keep up the good work and congratulations on leading by example.

  • Really cool to see you guys using social media - online video is super powerful.
