In the 1960's Tom Boustead was one of the most prolific photographers on the ex-Great Central main line in the Nottingham area. I am privileged to feature a selection of his excellent photographs. The soundtrack id from the Argo Transacord L.P. "Great Central" and features comings and goings at Nottingham Victoria.

  • The British had very nice-looking steam locomotives - it's ashame the same could never be said for their hideously ugly diesels. Then again, British Railways - like all government organizations - was sorely lacking in imagination.
