In 1996 I was 12 years old and into newer music. I was watching the Pheonix fest on Muchmusic for all the newer popular acts, when late in the evening Neil Young came on. He was with Crazyhorse and only played about 5 songs. Changed my life. I learned as many Neil tunes on the guitar as I could and if it wasn't for Neil I wouldn't be making any money in music at all because I'd still be in my basement listening to fun lovin' criminals instead of rocking out to Homegrown in front of crowds.
Excellent! I've loved this song for a long time and knew that the singer was of the 60's/70's caste. But I never knew that he was rocking the hell out of a stage as late as 1996. Neil Young is a star.
Neil Young is still rocking the hell out of a stage. I mean, hes only 64, about the same age as the members of ROlling Stones. They are still going strong, too.
