@Sanguiluna There's only so much you can get away with the excuse "it's fiction."
I think an entire graveyard of decayed corpses rising up from their graves in a synchronized manner despite the limitations that would prevent even a healthy human from getting out of them would be an appropriate time to "call bullshit."
@Sanguiluna That's kind of a problem; They drain the blood and then bury them under six feet of dirt, which means they'd not only have to go through the thick coffins, but also be able to lift up about 4000kg (8,818 lbs) of dirt. There's also the fact of how the fuck would the T-virus even reach them?
I also hear they cut the ligaments of the cadavers at morgues as the blood draining makes them constrict, which in turn makes them "rise." Not sure if true, but that'd certainly damper an escape.
@BeamYosho Nope. The T-virus can also reanimate already-dead people, in Resident Evil 3 and Code Veronica they had zombies coming out of graves even though some of the people died years before the outbreak.

@BeamYosho Probably the same reason why there's a virus that can reanimate dead people in the first place: it's part of the fictional story.

@mrnolan91 According to a deleted scene, they were trying not to make any noise so they wouldn't attract more.
