Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (some might know it by Lucifer's Call) is a wonderful RPG made by the folks at Atlus. Just as wonderful in this game is its soundtrack. However, as wonderful as it is, there are plenty of music tracks in the game that never were released in any soundtrack.

This track, the "Normal Battle" theme was technically released on several official soundtracks, but if you played the game enough you'll know that the version released was one of several (7 to be exact). This full version contains all variations of the Normal Battle theme for your enjoyment. I haven't been able to find them anywhere so I was inclined to share it with fans here on YouTube.

You can find an mp3 of the song at the following sites:

If you haven't played the game and you like RPGs, be sure to pick it up... it is one of my favourite games of all time.

  • EXCELLENT. I have been looking for all of the normal battle theme variations for a couple of weeks now. Huge, HUGE thanks to you! I'm relatively new to the SMT universe (having started with Raidou 1 last year, unusually enough) but already count Nocturne among my favorite games of all time. It is beyond amazing, and the normal battle theme always delights my ears with its ubiquitously awesome variations. Again, thanks a *ton* dude.

  • No problem!

  • Reminds me of the optional boss in Digital Devil Saga 1- it's the MC of Nocturne. What's even creepier is this music plays- which means he views your buffed up level 99 party as a mere random encounter. Creepy :3

  • @raziel2210 For all the trouble you are about to give him, he is entirely correct in that assessment.

  • @pianistor555 But...he recorded these right from the game and spliced them together.

  • I've been looking for Nocturne's battle theme variations for a long time! Thanks for sharing, they are all awesome!

  • This isnt the game version, the game version sounds more heavy than this one, though this one is closer to the game version, than the OST version.

Just pay attention to the drums and the guitar and you will understand.

Anyway thank you very much, I have been looking for this for a long time :)

  • @HatmasterM

Well the quality was as bad in-game also, probably the only negative thing about this game IMO

  • @devestrus That.... has absoulutely nothing to do with this video :P

  • For those of you who don't remember, and to those of you wondering what's going on with Catherine, the main dude you play as is a guy you talk to in a bar in one of the personas ;3

  • Where's my Nocturne, I'm not able to find it T_T... maybe... maybe I sold it... in that momento I wasn't too interested but now... T_T curses

  • @Zantman2 Unfortunately, since they didn't include the variations in any of the soundtracks, he had to rip these from the game disc, and for some reason, the quality of the battle themes is lower on the game disc. So only Atlus has high quality versions of the variations.
