The Hammer is currently ranked 24th on the worldwide circuit for the International Federation of Competetitive Eating. This clip is from Burgerfest Aug. 9, 2008 in Seymour, WI. He won the Hardees Thickburger eating contest by eating 7 and a third burgers in 12 minutes.
Mike Fitzgerald has been a hero in his home state for years now as a bratwurst champion, but has only recently become known to Major League Eating. Fitzgerald narrowly missed the opportunity to compete in the 2008 Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4, but still put up amazing numbers for a rookie, with a personal best of 23.5.
