There's plenty of great music out there, you just have to LOOK for it. Don't just look on the pop charts. Look everywhere, try different things, and don't be afraid to like something just because it's "unpopular" or "cool to hate". There's far more music than Lady Gaga stuff. I used to think all modern music was just pop crap. Then I actually LOOKED, and now my top favorites are modern. It's there, you just have to do some digging.

Yeah, contemporary pop music sucks monkey cocks. What you should do is just acclimate the next generation to music on your own. Play it around them when they're young and impressionable so they'll have that foundation.

@iorost the argument isn't quite there, todays music revolves around sex appeal and has no meaning. and that goes for almost all genres. that's why this music is turning into shit.
