the toyota sped up which is highly illegal, id like to point out, that the rules for beiing overtaken state that, you must not speed up, as a driving instructor i know the book very well and it also states you must give right of way to a heavy vehicle displaying flagd on the back of the truck, car is doing more illegal things than the truck.

I'd have to say that the truck driver was at fault for not giving enough notice with his indicator, but the driver of the car was equally at fault for driving in the truck's blindspot and then deciding to drive along the truck in the breakdown lane. I'd change my mind if the guy went into the breakdown lane, slowed down and went back behind the truck, but driving in the breakdown lane to overtake the truck is insane.

Truck driver has made a mistake and obviously believes that he is in front of the car. The car has obviously made a decision not to back off & let the truck in front, but to speed up and use the breakdown lane to do so. It's common courtesy to flash your headlights to let a truck know he's clear to change lanes in front of you. It's not courteous to sit in the blindspot of a truck and speed up or slow down just not to sit behind a truck. I would have booked the car driver for being an idiot.

1) Clearly the truck was nowhere even remotely clear.

2) He was changing lanes before his blinker flashed for a second time.

3) Clearly did not indicate appropriately nor check.

4) Brake lights didn't even come on, amplifying the drivers blatant disregard.

its quite clear that as soon as the truck is clear and wanted to lanechange that the honda sped up ....like they always do .......
