  • "Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are...[a] few other Texas oil millionaries, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid. "

    -That was Eisenhower himself.

  • yeah, 91% taxes on the very rich is only a little left, talk about far left buddy.

  • @Packerd01

They are more left wing than the Conservative Party yes, but they have moved significantly to the right since the 80's . Crime rates are always highest in large cities, and crime is always highest in low income areas, which happen to be in cities, because that's where people go for jobs, but get exploited. And yes crime rates have gone up in Norway, but they too have become more right wing since the 80s cont.

  • @Packerd01

Tony Blair was a "third way" labour mp, as was Bill Clinton (for the democrats though), so they were still pretty right, and those two countries dragged everyone with them so that even their left wing politics were more centre than left. Have you not realized that countries that were more regulated (Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway etc.) are in much better shape than the less regulated countries (US, UK, Italy etc.)

and btw proove your crime stats about sweden being high crime

  • @Packerd01

Greece had a Conservative party in power from 2004 to 2009, they were the ones that set the country up to fail. Spain and Portugal did have left wing governments leading up to the recession, but if you watched the video you would understand that what is "left wing" today would have been called "right wing" before Reagan and Thatcher policies. France has had a right wing government since 2002, Germany 2005, Netherlands 2002. cont

  • @Packerd01

Socialists are not in power in any major western country in the world (except for the Scandinavian, which are in better shape than most) the continuation of right wing economics is just dragging the economy down more

  • @chinaman89 It's backed up by FACTS in the PROPER CONTEXT. That answer your question?

  • thats the most high tech air hockey table ive every seen!

  • A major problem with politics is where people incorrectly label things "right-wing" and "left-wing". It should be divided into "Corporatism", "Socialism", and "capitalism" (at least on the economic side. Social issues need another chart).
