Scientists at Rothamsted Research in an independent plea to protestors who want to "decontaminate" their scientific experiment, which is exploring one possible way to reduce the environmental impact of growing wheat, simply because it uses a genetic modification technique in the experimental process.
This one project forms less that 1% of Rothamsted's overall scientific project work which aims to create environmentally sustainable solutions for food and energy production (the majority does not involve GM). See more at www.rothamsted.ac.uk

He said genetically modifying. He is right and you are wrong. Simple selective breeding is a type of genetic modification. We have done this for a very long time, now we have better tools.

I am still waiting for any scientific evidence suggesting GM foods are dangerous or negatively impact our environment.
So far it sounds like a bunch of people scared of something they don't understand, like when some first dared to suggest the earth was not at the center the universe or solar system

Ah, the dumb American argument. Stupid Americans... asking for comprehensive, peer-reviewed studies that provide evidence for the dangers of biotechnology. What idiots those Americans are!

It's also important to understand that it was policy makers in the EU, not scientists in the EU, who acted out of fear and a limited understanding of biotechnology.

Have you ever seen the movie, "The world according to Monsanto" or "Genetic Roulette", they are both on Youtube. If you watch those movies, Monsanto has been known to destroy scientist reputations in order to keep safe their products, so it makes me concerned as to whether or not, the scientists are doing real research and doing it right, or are they saying it is safe because they are afraid of huge corporations like Monsanto.

Actually the overwhelming majority of the scientific community supports vaccinations as well as GMO plants. I'm glad you don't hate all of science, but it is incorrect to say this is just one of the many competing scientific views on this. There are indeed real issues to debate about GMO's(patenting life, invasive species, drug resistance) but the view you put forth is very anti-scientific.There is not a debate on vaccines. Perpetuating the myth that there is has caused many unnecessary deaths.

I don't take vaccinations, and I never will. I don't take medications because I rarely get sick, and when I do, i take natural remedies like herbal teas. You completely blew everything out a proportion. I never said all science is bad. Besides not all scientist agree that GMO's are safe. These scientists are a small portion of one point of view. I mean, dude, because I disagree with these scientist doesn't mean I disagree with all scientists. Get a fucking grip you over-exaggerating prick!

Really? Then get off the internet, give up all your electronics, undo all your vaccinations, stop taking all medications when you are sick, and give back all your possessions which science has created. You wouldn't dare, because you know that science is the only reason your ass can even be on here to pass on your bullshit as though it is wisdom.

I do have the audacity, and I have no PhD. I think I will do my farming the old fashion way. Organically and holistically. If Gaia did not make it, I will not grow it. If it was created in a lab, I will not grow it. I am the farmer, and I say no!
