@markpaghi Another new teaching: Matthew 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
@markpaghi I have looked into this subject a bit more and wish to say thank you for bringing the subject of the Torah to my attention. I am doing some deeper contemplation of Matthew 5:17-20. In particular, Jesus calls us to exceed the scribes and the Pharisees in righteousness. I now understand your position a bit better. Again, thank you and God bless.
@markpaghi I quote the teachings of Jesus (Word of God) in at least six of my videos. Although there is only one way to God, through Jesus Christ, there are many ways to Jesus and my journey is certainly unique. I believe in experiencing the teachings of Jesus, free of religious doctrine, by way of personal revelation of the truth through his words. I believe in The Father, Son and Holy Spirit through the teachings of Jesus Christ. According to Jesus, it is all I need for salvation.
@markpaghi What "WORD" did I "blaspheme" and how? Jesus was a divine being assuming human form: he was not "fully human". Jesus shed his blood for the remission of sins and left his body as soon as he fulfilled scripture. Jesus has cleansed me of all sin. How do I know? I live a life of righteousness free of iniquity.
@markpaghi Sermon on the mount. Jesus often challenged man's interpretation and application of the law. Jesus taught us greater discernment of the law. I follow Jesus only. I am not Jewish. I do not have to "obey the Torah". In any case, I obey The Father. Jesus did not say to obey the Torah. He said to love him, hear HIS words and believe in and do the will of The Father. The teachings of Jesus embody everything I need to believe.
@markpaghi The OT is full of verses speaking of vengeance and curses upon enemies, "So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD": nothing about loving your enemies, except in one verse; 2 Samuel 19:6, which is a kind of rebuke. Funny how it's the exact opposite to what you wrote: "In that thou lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy friends"!
Could someone please explain Leviticus 21 to me, in detail?
