This is a 10x14 painting of the approaching storm clouds over the field behind the Paddock Club Tuscany apartments in Mandarin Florida. The photo in the video shows the actual scene... the incoming storm clouds were magnificent with the setting sun behind them, and the multistory buiding adds tuscany ambience!! I used a small palette knife to scape out some brush and tree stalks letting the canvas show to simulate petite limbs. Painted 12-27-07, with
lots of "artist's liberty" (LOL) The trail pictured actually leads down to a small fishing lake down behind the trees, the paved road to the apartments is off canvas to the right. Thanks for watching.

MUSIC IS: LISA LYNNE,"Douce Dame Jolie" from the CD "Fairy Tales"

It was time-lapsed using a Sony TRV25 in INTERVAL mode (1/2 second every 30 seconds).

  • hi i have been using water paint for sometimes and im trying the oil paint , i ve used the georgian oil paint but it seems that it will get dry at all it is been now 2 days but still wet , im i doing something wrong ?please help me .

  • Hi... this painting was acrylic... regular oil paints like "Georgian" can take 2 weeks to dry.. reds and white usually take longer. the Alkyd paints (Winsor & Newton "Griffin") can dry in a day or two. You can use "Liquin" as a medium to shorten the drying yime of standard oil paints. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

  • I loved watching this picture develop. Must try acrylics and landscapes again (got rather put off trying by so many "failures" and muddy paint...)

  • AFTER WATCHING YOU PAINT WITH THE WATERCOLOR PENCILS, i BOUGHT SOME TONIGHT... WILL HAVE TO SEE HOW THAT WORKS OUT FOR ME. FOR THOSE WHO ARE READING THIS, PYRAMIAOU HAS SOME EXCELLENT WATERCOLOR PENCIL TUTORIALS... CHECK THEM OUT BY CLICKING ON HER YOUTUBE NAME. THANKS FOR WATCHING.

  • Hey, thanks for the shout-out!!! although I wouldn't call my videos tutorials! I am a LEARNER myself and get so much help/inspiration/support from other YT artists... anyway thank you so much.

  • I learned quite a lot from your videos, and expect that many others out here un YT land may benefit from your knowledge also. Take care, keep painting!

  • oh my god, very good

  • @rasshidd do you have a blow dryer? or you could try leaving the painting in front of a fan overnight. always works for me. i usually do a combination of both. :)

  • Fantastic. You make it look so easy when I know that it's not. Love the music by the way.

  • This is the best video editing/music arrangement I've seen yet on YouTube. Very well done. Thanks

  • wow

  • those clouds look great! i have been trying a few things to make the clouds in my piece look nice but they end up looking cartoonlike at best. I definitely need to work n them a bit.
