  • This is unrighteous behavior worry about dinneer picking up kids.? This anxiety I'm sure is not what Paul had in mind as a problem with sin. Anxiety is often a malady of ignorance. If believers focus on aforementioned as unrighteous we will not enjoy Christ, in devotion. Not all worry is unrighteous but normal conscience making known to mind urgency, responsibility, etc. Pray all cares to God but all care is not sin. Don't focus on what Christ has atoned past, present, future sin.

Yeah, sorry that's a gross mis-representation of what the Ante-Nicene fathers wrote. David Bercot actually studied their writings as a whole for quote a time and compiled them into a dictionary and wrote a few books--they do not as a whole support Calvinism, I guarantee you. The Justin Martyr quote at the beginning is a fake to my knowledge also(show me if you find otherwise).

His video also is missing tons of quotes.. and jumps from a few Ante-Nicene to Augustine(and beyond)

  • @droptozro You do know there are other religions with a type of "tree of knowledge" and similar occurances. Of course this doesn't negate the Bible and the same principle with how a heretic group interprets something the same way you or I do.

[I've yet to have any Calvinist try to debate with that video]

I dont know if you ran accross the youtube user Warrantedfaith, but he has put out a video on the early church as well /watch?v=S1CPcexMOQE.

  • @JesusforLife2

This isn't even about the video brother, but if you really want to hold fast to your interpretation... see Gnostic interpretations versus the true Christian interpretations... not to mention I still have a 2 part video of the early church versus Calvinism when it comes to Preservation of the Saints--I've yet to have any Calvinist try to debate with that video. Because if you do, you'd have to admit the first 300 years of the church were all heretics, and the Gnostics were right.

  • @JesusforLife2

Oh I don't have any issues with Romans 9, the way Calvinists interpret it though--it's likened to the way Gnostics did. Don't think I'm slandering you either, I've read their writings--it's clear to see the Ante-Nicene church vs. Gnostics.. you may look it up for yourself if you don't believe me.

If you don't have context and audience, you're proof-texting.. it's not explaining away, it's correction. See the rest of the passage then, why does prophecy say "whoever believes?"

  • @dr He doesnt say: "So then it does not depend upon the nation who wills or the nation who runs, but on God who has mercy. For the Scripture says to the nation"..." So then he mercies whatever nation he mercies and he hardens whatever nation he hardens. You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For what nation resists His will?" On the contrary, what are you, O nation, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it?

  • @droptozro Is this how explain everything away by adding a context that isn't even there? You do this with Romans 9 saying Paul is talking about nations yet floods his letter with singular pronouns, individuals, and singular present active participles. Its humanistic to elevate man in any way, shape, or form and satanic to accuse God of any evil/unfairness with whatever he decrees.

    Continued..

  • I admit I struggle with worry sometimes because life just isnt going the way it was supposed to right now...especially with independence and money....it really sucks but so far I am alive and eat every day.

  • On the basis of your PROMISE which is UNSHAKABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was pretty random how he yelled like it. That was super loud.

  • @3rdCrossMinistry

    "doubting is a sin"

Show me that in Scripture and I will understand maybe? Thomas doubted, Jesus didn't say he sinned.

I don't think Romans 14:23 even needs to be mentioned---that was a pure proof-text and taking out of context having to do with people eating things unclean according to the Mosaic law... please don't do that.
