  • I love this video! but it looks painful when sprinting, there's a big crunch in your foot when you're hitting hard on your forefoot. I went looking at slow motion videos of sprinters and it's definitely softer. Keep up the great work though it's been inspiring me!

  • @dcoteboat Please send me a link to those videos I'm very interested. . I have not found any good footage filmed at a decent fps (esp BF). When filmed at "high speed" at 1000 fps you can see everything even a feather falling to the ground looks violent. If I slowed down normal footage of myself the impact will be completely imperceptible. What you see in my 1,000 fps footage is me striking as I would 20 yards from the finish line. Very little lean forward. Thanks I look forward 2 the videos

  • Great video!

Good form, amazing power..... and super cool music :-)

    Thanks for sharing.

  • I have the exact same stride and footfall. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to analyze my form, and there's one thing that bugs me. Footfall is on the outside fore foot. You can see how Pat touches down with the outside of his forefoot and the foot then flattens out, first on the forefoot and then the weight rolls back to where the heal barely touches. This form works quite well for me (it's what I did naturally) except that I get the worst blisters on the inside fore foot. Why?

  • what laces is he using?

  • Go Pat Go!

  • Inspiring video indeed. It is great to see what is achievable when you have been struggling to run barefoot and only making slow progress.

  • Perfect biomechanics!

  • Great video!

I am a barefoot runner myself and I've noticed I don't quite fold and lift my back leg like you do. Is this your natural running form or is there a specific purpose to it?

  • As always a great video with great music. Thanks for the closeups.
