  • fattest pet store fish I have seen. you always do a great job pond guru. ps im sure the aquarium society will be impressed you have a great shop there.

  • Believe it or not, we're one of the smallest stores but have the best range of freshwater tropicals (in the north east) The shop is pretty much a fish house with dry goods, not the other way round like most places.

  • Do you know the size potential for these Angels?

One of my Pearlscale Angelfish is hitting close to 10" (tall, inc Dorsal/Anal fin), 8" (length, inc tail) and 4.5" (body size, standard length - not including the tail), probably around 2.5 years old if my memory serves me right.

  • As they are a form of scalare, I would expect the same growth as a normal angelfish.

  • The electric blue rams and all the other small cichlids are looking so good since we started feeding the high protein food and less frozen. We are getting an aquarist society from Scotland visiting (up to 30 members) at the end of the month so I really hope they are impressed with the quality and range we've got in at present

  • @pondguru

Amazing, the one shown at 1:00 looks good, in fact they all look fat and healthy. Ken sure makes beautiful Angelfishes, especially those with iridescent colour.

  • Indirectly, yes. These are bred from Ken Kennedy fish that came into the UK to our scottish supplier.

  • Were these imported from 'pinoyangelfish' on Youtube?

  • Not much really - it will swallow it hopefully. If it has swallowed it tail first you could pull it out but not if its swallowed it head first due to the design of shrimps.

All this may be too late as it was 13 hrs ago since you made this comment - just seen it this AM.
