@AlexSpeedReaper You didn't get my point. Nothing wrong with fast playing. I love fast playing, too, but "shredding" is not the epitome of complex virtuoso music. I just dislike those rock star-behaving guitarists who want to be labeled as shredders. Guys like Shawn Lane, Al Di Meola, Frank Gambale or Alex Masi e.g. hate(d) that word. Be a serious musician, not a poser. Cheers

@Neidhardt84 this is your point of view and i respect it and you may respect the shredder as the same because music is an universal form of communication and feelings, and if i like playng fast like the speed of light what's the matter? world is good because there are a lot of guitar player with different ways of playng
-
@AlexSpeedReaper "Shredding" is a natural by-effect if you've been practicing guitar for a long period of time. Everyone who's been practicing for years is a "shredder" but those who think that "shredding" is the purpose of playing guitar, sound like 15-year old teenage boys who just discovered Yngwie Malmsteen and Jason Becker. A "shredder" is not necessarily a good composer or improviser. I love fast playing myself but that's not the goal.
