7-9-10 NS 223

Alright so I decided to head down to the NS line. I rode my bike to the 21.6/21.5 signals to drink some water. As I was drinking I heard some cat noises, I didnt know where it was coming from, so I started walking around by the tracks and the cornfield. The noise got louder, it sounded like baby kittens though. So I started walking into the cornfield to see where the noise was coming from and about a few seconds later I found three baby kittens in the cornfield. The mother was nowhere to be found. I didnt know what to do cause I didnt want to leave the baby kittens in the hot sun. A minute later I got a track warrant from NS 223 to depart Coapman to Mt. Vernon. I was like ohhh crap, but I wasnt worried about the trains I was worried about the kittens. As I was walking to my bike to get my other water bottle, the kittens started following me. I got my water bottle and put some water in the palm of my hand so they can get a drink of water. I was hoping for a cop to show up so it can take these kitten some where and take care of them. But I did have this one guy that I know that lives right next to the NS line and wasnt a far bike ride, he has cats too. But the problem was that he wasnt at home but I did see like four cats outside of his house chillin under the shade. So I had an idea, I was gonna transport one kitten at a time to his house on my bike. I knew the other cats might take care of them. It only took me 5minutes to transport the kittens, they were very small too. After I transported the third kitten I saw the other cats by the kittens, so I was happy about that. About 10minutes later NS 223 arrives.

@WestOkieRailroadVids well yesturday I was at this same location. My friend that I has the kittens said there doing just find. He was glad that I got them out the cornfield and brought them up to his house.

Ah, we need more people like you around, Kelby! I would do the same and take care of a poor innocent kitten(s). As I have 2 wonderful cats myself! Great catch, Kelby and the engineer sure had it movin'!

You're a good man Kelby I would've done the same for those kittens. I guess the mom decided it was time for the kittens to live life on there own but you thought it's too early so you brought them over to your friends place and gave them some new friends . I would've taken them off your hands for you but my black cat would probably kill them he's always vicious. OK enough with that nice catch and K5LA Kelby

Our cat showed up one day and never left lol. So we kept her and she's a great (but a little lazy) cat! Great video!
