Hey everyone, sorry for the delay in posting a video of my larger fish. I originally had these fish in a 90 gallon aquarium (the vid is still under my account if you want to see the difference), but I had to move them to the smaller tank due to a filter problem.

I did some rearranging with fish, and I no longer have a Blue Gourami in there. I put him in the larger tank with the hopes that he would get just a touch larger, but when he didn't, I felt it prudent to remove him before my Oscar did.

My fish in here are as follows:
1x Oscar (10-12")
1x Pleco (13-14")
1x Jack Dempsey (4-5")
1x Green Terror (3-4")

I have been told that Oscars will eat smaller fish as soon as they will fit in their mouth. I haven't had a single problem with my Oscar even being so far as to be aggressive. He just minds his own business, and if anything, is dominated by my pleco (who does NOT like other fish in his long!).

These fish will eventually be transferred to a much larger tank. I am in the process of moving and don't have time or money to buy a larger tank. I know the sizes the fish grow to, and I know that when these fish get full size, the tank will be too small. In the meantime though, they're happy as can be!

And you guys will be happy to know that I don't feed my Oscar with feeder fish. I've seen the massive outcrys on Youtube, and due to those and my own personal feelings, I use other sources of food.

  • ive got about a 10-12 inch jack dempsey think this would be a good sized tank for him? btw nice looking fish and tank

  • @Couchlog I would say if you were only planning on having a JD in your tank, it would be ok. It's a bit on the small side, but as long as he was alone, I'm sure it would be alright.

  • 55 uk or us gallons? looks big for a 55 gallon

  • @OmgLowBattery 55 US gallons. I promise it's a 55. It's just the way I'm shooting the video

  • did some of your fish die or did you buy only 4 fish that lived long. when you bought your fish did you buy some with those in the tank that died or only 4 fish.

  • @msd1412 I only bought those 4 fish who lasted that long. The filter broke on my 90 gallon, which is why they got moved down to a 55. No fish died.

  • The green terror is tight

  • Do you think that an Oscar would be okay in a 56 gallon collumn tank?

  • So where has your 90 Gal gone?

  • @boobyjboob Not necessarily. I have a tiger oscar, electric blue jack dempsey, green terror and common pleco. I've had them for two years now and they all get along fine. :)

  • Your aquarium is very nice. Compliments. You can see my acquarium in "Acquario pesci tropicali - VINCENZO IANNI". Ciao. Vincenzo.

  • i have an oscar in a 55 gallon to and a pleco but he only moves at night so he is very boaring
