well yeah but glam rock comes in all catagories. theres Metal Glam rock, Gothic Glam rock ect ect. Bowie was an odd choice for this. just cause he cross dressed and wore a crap load of make up and so does Mana doesn't mean that the concepts for that come from the same place. That's like saying all dudes who sings rock, is glamorous and wears make up are the same.
