The President announces that the independent commission he created for the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling will be chaired by former Florida Governor and Senator Bob Graham and former EPA Administrator Bill Reilly. • @Armigerous It will. I guarantee that he'll have a 2nd term. I'll put you on my list of I told you so's on election day

  • Going grey?

  • oil bama is a sad joke and a dismal failure

  • @ICEMAN3rdID I had a talk about this with someone the other day and I couldn't understand either why US gov didn't step in straight away and take control. It was raised perhaps that they had to let BP attempt to fix the mistake or if US had stept in, they would take over responsibility for the damage after that point (BP would say they could have fixed it if allowed to)

I felt it was a good point, I just hope the US holds BP responsible even though it could collapse the UK economy, funny that..

  • @Armigerous I understand the voting also, but if a candadate is not put forward that people like, if there are backroom deals going on, isn't this like hobbeling a horse in a race? Perhaps there should be a different feed back in the voting system.

  • @Armigerous Sorry, just my reference to what was telivised world wide with Pr Bush during 9/11, just really seems that when disaster hits.......... Its not just one world leader either, so not having a go at US directly, just happens that US is in the light more often so this stuff is seen.

Been watching all this unfold, it is good to see that Pr Obama has taken a strong stance on the remuneration of people effected by this, will be interesting to watch BP get out of it to

  • @1980littleboy Your post makes very little sense if any...planes destroying buildings in Oz..I rather doubt that mate...but I do take your point about people not voting...we usually have about 50% turnout in a Presidential election.....which is part of the reason Obozo was elected...a lot of conservatives simply stayed home being disillusioned with the Republican party....but after watching this ass clown for 16 months, you may rest assured that will not happen again

  • @Armigerous

Its OK, I'll just keep sitting in this class room reading books to kids while planes destroy buildings....... You are having a great run over there mate and at the end of the day, they are elected. What's it say about the people voting and the ones not.

  • Interesting in the closing address about achieving domestic oil production, That is the prize they are after and why wars are fought. Control the oil and you control the world and I don't see Fed government controlling the oil. Hell, they aren't even controlling the oil companies

  • @justonefirefly1 Dear lower class reactionary...why don't you go clean the rest of the shit out of your mommy's nazi pussy...and save your insults for the other treasonous Jew hating syncophants who suck the cock of tyranny when you do
