Millions of Americans could lose their homes this year and next as the rate of foreclosures across the United States rises to the highest in decades. The foreclosure crisis has worsened despite ongoing efforts by some lenders and the government to help borrowers manage their mortgage payments. VOA's Chris Simkins reports on how one homeowner in the southern US state of Virginia is fighting to keep his home

  • We need to bring back manufacturing and assembly back into America than out sourcing US jobs to China.

  • It costs just about the same to build a bigger house compared with a small one. The builders justify their high prices, the buyers like big houses, the tax revenues are higher, China made huge economics growth by selling Americans junks to fill their houses...The government was happy that a lot of people own homes! Happy time is over, the party is over! Happiness is a step too close to suffering!

  • greedy banks take taxpayer money for bailouts, but can't help someone like this who has been paying on his home for years. DIRTY PIGS!
